Ricca Design Studios, a 45-year old leading international culinary and restaurant design firm headquartered in Denver, is seeking a Revit Associate to join our growing team in our Bay Area office, located in Oakland, CA.

Core Functions
  • Accurately create drawings using company standards with minimal supervision to create and update SD, DD & CD phases of Contract Documents

  • Create 3D Revit models for BIM cross-disciplinary and project coordination

  • Assist in refining, developing & implementing standards, training, and support design practices

  • Ensure that the company document template is used on all projects

  • Develop all documentation to conform with Ricca design standards

  • Assist in providing team training/coaching as needed

  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, project team members and clients to ensure efficient data sharing

  • Effectively read and understand equipment cutsheets, manufacturer drawings and then translate these into accurate Revit families

  • Design, generate and document custom BIM content. This includes custom Revit families, utility drawings, equipment schedules, manufacturer drawings, fabrication detail, equipment elevations, counter details, etc.

  • Maintain electronic project files according to company standards

  • Actively engaged in project meetings, production meetings and Revit Team Meeting

  • Perform all administrative tasks within a timely manner, including: timesheets, expense reports, etc

  • Proven experience and technical proficiency with Revit Architecture

  • Experience with AutoCAD and/or AutoCAD Architecture

  • Understanding of BIM Management and Integrated Project Delivery concepts

  • Good understanding of architectural project workflows (SD, DD, CD and CA phases), project management and team members (internal and external)

  • Understanding and supporting various project types and their deliverables

  • Familiarity with design & visualization applications considered a plus (Bluebeam, 3DS Max, Sketch Up, and Adobe Creative Suite)

  • Demonstrates positive attitude within the studio and company as a whole; participating in company meetings, production meetings, client interactions

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong teamwork, communication, organizational and time-management skills

  • The ability to multi‐task

  • A willingness to learn
