Slater's 50/50, a culinary concept that has taken the world of burgers by storm, has recently made its grand debut in the vibrant downtown of Denver, Colorado. The arrival of Slater's 50/50 in Denver was made possible through the culinary design expertise of Ricca Design Studios, responsible for envisioning and crafting the back-of-house kitchen and the front-of-house bar.
Collaborating closely with Roth Sheppard Architects, Ricca Design Studios turned the dream of restaurant owner Charlie Murray into a mouthwatering reality. Murray first encountered the Slater's 50/50 brand during his travels to Southern California, where he was instantly captivated by its unique culinary offerings. So passionate was he about this extraordinary concept that he decided to become a franchisee, and his efforts culminated in the opening of the first Colorado location of Slater's 50/50.
The journey began in August 2019, with Ricca Design Studios pouring their creative energy into the project. By July 2020, they had successfully transformed their culinary dreams into reality. However, it's important to note that the grand opening didn't go entirely according to plan. The unforeseen challenge of the COVID-19 pandemic cast a temporary shadow over the proceedings, causing a slight delay in the restaurant's debut. Nevertheless, Slater's 50/50 overcame these obstacles and flung open its doors to the eagerly waiting public on the 24th of July.
Beyond the iconic 50/50 burger, this culinary gem has much more to offer. Their menu is a gastronomic delight, featuring decadent milkshakes, sumptuous salads that overflow with flavor, customizable flatbreads, and, of course, an extensive selection of beer.
Slater's 50/50 has a rich beer tradition, and the Denver location boasts a selection of 53 local and craft beers on tap, sure to satisfy the thirst of even the most discerning beer connoisseurs.
For Denver, Slater's 50/50 has incorporated some locally inspired menu items, adding a unique and regional flair to the dining experience. Among these delectable offerings, you'll find the Flatirons Bowl, the RiNo Wrap, and the indulgent Gold Nugget Tots.
The restaurant's opening, in the midst of a global pandemic, presented a unique and challenging experience for Murray and the entire Slater's 50/50 team. As of the present moment, their dining room operates at limited capacity, adhering to public health guidelines, while also offering convenient options for curbside pick-up and delivery. Slater's 50/50 remains a beacon of culinary innovation, bringing the community together to savor the delightful fusion of beef and bacon in the heart of Denver, even in these trying times.
