A first of its kind for the university, Florida State's 1851 Dining Facility totals over 24,000 SF and stands as the newest retail dining on campus. The facility features four micro-restaurants operating as retail, not AYCE, for increased food flexibility for students. The food itself showcases fresh and local ingredients through partnerships with Florida farmers and celebrates them with from-scratch cooking. Options include, JStreet Grill that serves “the best burgers” in town, Tuscan Eatery tosses specialty pizzas, Passport rotates and introduces students to international concepts, Noles Homecoming, highlights Southern comfort cuisine and The Canteen, offers late-night grab-and-go options.

Beyond bringing new and diverse offerings to campus, the 1851 Eatery has created a destination dining experience for students and the surrounding Tallahassee community by having it open to the public. With delicious and distinct food options—1851 is becoming a favorite spot for not only students but the whole neighborhood.
