Ricca Design Studios provided culinary design in collaboration with Ayers Saint Gross for the renovation and expansion of Mary Fisher Dining Hall at Goucher College. Goucher College’s existing dining locations were scattered around the outskirts of campus, making them inconvenient, underutilized, and lacking of any community engaging environment.

Today the renovated and expanded Mary Fisher Dining Hall is located within the Pearlstone Student Center and consolidates all those other dining venues into one centralized dining outlet. Not only does this create convenience for students and faculty, but it helps to create an engaging heart of campus for students to gather, socialize, and dine.

Another highlight to the refreshed facility that’s just as important as the centralized location – the food. Goucher College is committed to providing students with a range of selections that emphasize health, wellness, and freshness. Food and ingredients come from local farmers, coffee roasters, and butchers, when available. Nine stations make up the all-you-care-to-eat dining options, which include international cuisines, brick-oven pizza, kosher foods, allergen-free options, vegetarian meals, vegan choices, a Mongolian stir fry, and much more. In addition to the all-you-care-to-eat dining hall, the Student Market, located on the ground floor of Mary Fisher Hall, provides grab and go options for students that don’t have time for a full meal.
