The historic Blanchard Hall building, originally a gymnasium, has been repurposed into a multi-faceted building that now houses a Student Life Hub, student organization offices, social gathering spaces, and the Community Dining Commons. Mount Holyoke consolidated its five dining outlets throughout campus into the new Dining Commons, strengthening the sense of community and providing more convenience. The Dining Commons features nine stations that focus on quality ingredients, and freshly prepared foods, all while maintaining diverse menu options to appeal to a wide-variety of preferences and tastes. In addition to the all-you-care-to-eat Dining Commons, the Community Center also includes a grab & go market, coffee house, and pub. The facility has been thoughtfully designed to integrate dining traditions like Gracious Meals, and faculty breakfast meetings, while at the same time encouraging new traditions and events.
