Slater’s 50/50, a restaurant concept specializing in burgers made of half beef and half bacon is proud to open its first Colorado location in downtown Denver. Ricca Design Studios provided the culinary design for the restaurant, which included the back-of-house kitchen and front-of-house bar.
Ricca worked in collaboration with Roth Sheppard Architects to help bring owner, Charlie Murray’s, restaurant plans to reality. Ricca began the project in August 2019 and wrapped up our work in July 2020. The COVID-19 pandemic delayed the original opening plans, but after the slight delay, Slater’s 50/50 opened its doors on Friday, July 24th.
In addition to the famous 50/50 burger, the restaurant is also well-known for their decadent milk shakes, overflowing salads, customizable flatbreads, and last but not least, their wide selection of beer. Beer is a staple at Slater’s 50/50 and the Denver location features 53 local and craft beers on tap. The Denver restaurant will also feature some locally inspired menu items unique to this location, including the Flatirons Bowl, RiNo Wrap, and Gold Nugget Tots.
Opening amid the pandemic was certainly a unique experience for Murray and the rest of the Slater’s 50/50 team. At the time of writing, their dining room is open at limited capacity and their offering curbside pick-up as well.
