Prior to starting his career in culinary design, Phillip had a passion for culinary arts. This led him to a position as a Teaching Assistant/Fellow at Johnson & Wales University Culinary Institute, while pursuing his second degree. Phillip graduated Summa Cum Laude in 2004. His talent for design and attention to detail allows him to assist with equipment selection, refinement, utilities and budget management, and the publication of specifications on any given assignment. Phillip leads our public assembly market, he also serves in company leadership as well as mentoring multiple studios. He uses his culinary background to ensure every project functions as intended. He assures that quality control and interior peer reviews occur on each project. Phillip joined Ricca Design Studios in 2014 with 10 years of experience managing foodservice design for education, public assembly, business and industry, and healthcare projects. He has extensive experience in Management Advisory Services including facility analysis, benchmarking, menu development, and staff training. He is well versed in AutoCAD, AutoQuotes, KCL, Bluebeam, and Adobe Acrobat.
